In my artistic journey, I've found inspiration in the landscape of Central Otago, New Zealand, which has a unique geological history. Not only that, the dry Central Otago climate showcases the clearest of colours, the brightest of light, and darkest of shadow.

My paintings frequently involve a reimagination of this distinctive region. I'm drawn to the interplay of opposites - light and dark; inside and out; complementary colours. I hope that my unconventional colour choices reflect the dramatic contrasts that Central Otago offers and the energy it holds.
